Mel

Tribute to our eternal companion 💘💘 Mel 💘💘
Today, with our hearts full of love and a lump in our throats, we said goodbye to our dear Labrador. Almost 16 years of life is a rare blessing, and every day by your side was a gift we will never forget.
From the moment you arrived in our lives, with that unstoppable energy and a look that seemed to hold all the love in the world, you were much more than a dog. You were family. You were the most faithful friend, the guardian of our hardest days and our happiest moments.
Who could forget your contagious joy, that wag of your tail that seemed to say that everything was going to be all right? You were always there, ready to welcome us with the same euphoria, whether we had been away for five minutes or a whole day.
Over time, we saw you mature, transforming that exuberant energy into serenity. But you never stopped being the same: the same giant heart, the same sweetness in your eyes... Even in your last days, with your paws already tired, your spirit remained strong, full of love and loyalty.
Today we made the most difficult decision of our lives, a choice made with tears, but also with gratitude. Gratitude for all the years you gave us everything, for all the walks together, for every moment when you were the silent shoulder on which we could rest our worries. We know that this is the greatest gesture of love we can give you now, sparing you the pain and offering you the peace you deserve.
But that doesn't mean it was easy. The void you leave behind will be immense, the longing unbearable. There aren't enough words to describe how special you were, how you marked our lives in a way that will never fade.
Go in peace, our little girl. Take with you our love, which is eternal, and the memories of all the happy days we lived together. Now it's time for you to rest, free of pain, free of time. Our hearts will always be with you, and we know that yours will be with us forever.
See you one day, dear friend. Do us a favor: run free in the fields of heaven, as if you were that puppy full of life again.
We love you forever.
