You were the constant in four house moves
We explored hills and valleys together on foot

You were with me when I (belatedly) learned to ride a bike and when I started managing a house
You didn't take off from me the day I fainted and it was me you asked to leave
You taught me a lot and you'll always be mine

I still can't step on the space that used to be occupied by your bed
The rest of your food and cookies have been shared with your friends, Benny and the Cub
A lot of your things are in that drawer, next to Sugar's things. Others are still in the same place
The nostalgia and memories will never be put away
I hope you're out riding in nature again and missing Sugar and Kira
And I hope to keep dreaming of you
