Kika

Dear Kika
We write you this letter with our hearts full of longing, but also with immense gratitude for everything we've experienced with you.
You came into the world on May 9, 2009 and, at just three months old, you sneaked into our lives and never left our hearts. From that day on, we were no longer four. With your arrival, we became five. A real family.
You were much more than a dog. You were a loyal companion, a faithful friend, an essential part of our days. You were joy, comfort, a constant presence. You were by our side at all times: in routines, at parties, in silences and even in changes. When we decided to move house, we thought of you, we wanted you to have your own space to run around, play and be happy, as you deserved. And you were. Very much so.
For almost 16 years, you filled our home with love. A pure, generous and sincere love. We've created memories with you that we treasure: your complicit glances, your steps behind us, your jokes and even that unique way of asking for attention, like someone who knows they're special.
Your departure has left us with an immense void. The house is quieter, the days emptier. We miss you so much, Kika. But we also feel privileged to have had you with us for so long. You were a blessing in our lives.
We'll never forget you. Ever. You're forever engraved in our memories, photographs, stories, smiles and, above all, in our hearts.
Thank you for everything, Kika. Thank you for loving us so unconditionally, for giving us so much and asking for so little. You'll always be our little girl, our friend, our love.
Forever, with all our love,
Your family. 💛
