My dear Violet,
You came into our lives when I was about two months old. I was 16. Bored, unprotected and lame, you soon became full of life, full of energy, you filled the house by yourself!
You went through all the most important stages of life with me. Finishing school, college, first dates, moving out on my own (with you), starting work, buying a house, etc etc ...
You were much more than a dog, you were a friend, a companion, a nurse, a firefighter ...
It's been almost 17 years, and how sad it is to know that our time together is over!
You were a fighter and incredibly resilient.
You never spoke but your expressive eyes said more than could be heard.
No matter how many words I write, there are never enough words to describe everything we feel, everything that should be written, but that also stays with us.
Wherever you are, watch over us, stay with us, because you will always be alive in our memories and in our thoughts.
The dog's only fault is its short life!
