Dear Tiger Jake; This is not a goodbye letter, please know that, this is a \"until we meet again in
\nHeaven letter.\"
\nYou are so very much loved. We can still feel you and see you everywhere here in our empty home
\nthat feels so very empty, hollow and silent now without you. You came into our life in October
\n2017 but we knew we loved you before ever meeting you, just from seeing your face in the
\nsummer months before we met that year when we had your first photos sent to us from your first
\nhuman family. We could see and feel your kind heart and your sweet loving spirit from these
\nphotos... from your sweet spiritual little face and your kind beautiful, expressive and so very
\nintelligent eyes...and we loved you already there and then. Tiger Jake; you have the sweetest,
\nmost kind, caring and loving soul and you are our little boy. You will always be our sweet beautiful
\nboy. You made us complete. You made our home complete, you were our best friend, our
\nconfidant, you always comforted us, gave us love, you were our little feline watchman and you
\nprotected us always, kept an eye out for us and always warned us, whenever you suspected any
\ndanger, or a bad situation. You were more than our cat to us. You were our big, BIG love, our four
\nlegged boy, our partner and our dear sweet beloved friend. You were our best friend, our little fur
\nbaby. We cannot even express how much we miss you... Words are not enough.
\nYou moved with us from Denmark to Portugal when you were only four months old and we stayed
\nwith you first one night in France and then one night in Spain. Do you remember that? Then we
\ncame to Portugal in November 2017 and you have lived with us in every house and apartment we
\nhave ever had here in Portugal since we first arrived; first in Praia da Luz, then in Espiche and now
\nsince 2020, here in Portim\u00e2o.
\nIt is hard so very hard to imagine not seeing you here again in our apartment and to not have you
\nwith us any longer here in Portugal however. It is so very hard! We are so sad. It is so hard and
\neverything feels so very heartbreaking and the apartment is so empty, quiet and so very sad.
\nNothing is the same without you Tiger Jake. We pray that you were not in too much discomfort or
\npain these last few days at the hospital... It pains us to think about how you were away from us
\nthose last four days and where we could only see you during that short visit on Thursday where
\nyou gave us so much love, even after all of the medicine and you must have been in so much pain,
\nbut still you managed to be so sweet, caring, comfort us and give us love... Did you already know
\nthat this would be our last goodbye Tiger Jake? We really hoped we would be able to take you
\nhome only a few days later... We didn't know... We never, ever wanted to leave you dear Tiger
\nJake. We really pray and hope that you know that? We would never leave you if we didn't have
\nto do so. We only wanted you better and healthy... We just tried to do everything we possibly could
\ncould to make you well again, through the doctors, nut sadly they could not help you and make
\nyou well again... This is so incredibly painful, because all we wanted was for you to be well again
\nand here at home with us, in our arms and where we can kiss and cuddle with you for hours every
\nevening just like before. We really would have preferred that BUT, the most important thing is that
\nyou are not in pain and we trust Gods will in this and that He knows what is best. We trust in that
\neven though it is so hard not to have you here with us.<\/p>\n
We miss your little sweet voice, your \"talking,\" your \"singing\" whenever you wanted food, wanted
\nto say something, express comfort and joy, your sweet purring, your eyes your heart, your love. It
\nwill be so hard to not have you near and to not be able to hug you and kiss you, but please
\nremember, we love you so very much, and we will soon see each other again, so until then we just
\nwant you to have fun, be strong, know that we love you and be happy and at peace. Please know
\nthat we love you and we miss you so very much our hearts are aching. We love you dear Tiger
\nJake, yesterday, today and always and for all eternity. We love you so much and we cannot say
\nenough how much we miss your voice, everything about you really and how you in your cat way
\nalways kept showing us your love with your sweet head-butting, purring and hugging us with your
\nbig sweet, beautiful tail, you sitting in our laps, or lying on our chests, watching the day go by.
\nDear Tiger Jake remember this; This is not a goodbye letter, please know that, this is a \"until we
\nmeet again in Heaven letter.\" We love you and are looking forward to meeting you again. We cannot
\nwait to see you again and to see you in Heaven healthy, happy and strong together with Jesus
\nChrist, safe, loved and comforted in Jesus' arms.
