Murphs, Smurphy, Murpharrico, .... I think there was a nickname for every occasion, and a song for every walk with you. You arrived as a glimpse of what you would become, with your awkward, charismatic side that put a smile on our faces. You grew with us and made us grow. You taught us the simplicity of life and that being there, even without speaking, is one of the most precious things. Words are too small to share any description of the importance you carried with you at every moment. You had the gift of being a dog and the joy of being a breeze. You are and always will be our companion with your keen nose and particular taste. Your willingness to share your affections was huge, but when it came to your bread and poppadoms, few dared to touch. Kit and Dalila had a habit of pushing the limits and when you felt like it, you'd let go of your whims to make way for your complicity. The wonder trio! Those were just the visible extensions of the immense love we received and reciprocated from you. There are some words that make you unique: spoil, friend, companion, strength, perseverance, love, affection, trust, complicity. There are others, but the ones that are most present are those that bind you to us in the golden cord of affection and presence beyond earthly life and physical feeling. You are and will be the example of the connection that has transformed our connection with the world, with people and with emotions. Finally, the gratitude and generosity that are spread across all the living particles that make up this wonderful picture called life. Now we have the memories of almost 14 years by your side, the licks, the cuddles, the runs, the ball games, the car rides, the trips to the beach. Wherever you are now, know that you will always be with us. When we said goodbye to you, knowing that the aftermath was unpredictable, we said goodbye. It will always be goodbye, little Murphs.<\/p>\n
